In the previous course, we talked about “The Spoon Theory,” and how, even though it is commonly used to describe chronic pain and illness, it can be a useful tool to understand trauma. Sometimes all we see from students is the “overreacting,” and it confuses us. Past trauma is often the “thing” they are reacting to, though it is often hidden from us.
